Songlines of a Mutti Mutti Man

26 to 31 May 2008
Reconciliation Week

After a hugely successful season in 2007, Kutcha Edwards and his family are back in 2008 with Songlines of a Mutti Mutti Man.
In the great tradition of oral history in Indigenous culture, Kutcha and his family present a unique and personal insight into the stories of the Stolen Generations.

Named Aboriginal Male Artist of the Year and also NAIDOC Person of the Year in 2001, Kutcha Edwards continues to inspire.  As one of Australia’s most prolific Indigenous singer/songwriters, his music and community work has made him a role model, mentor, friend and legend in the Indigenous community and beyond.

The show is about acknowledging the impacts of Australia’s social and political history.  It’s about creating understanding, respect, and a much needed dialogue between Aboriginal and non-Indigenous Australians. But most of all, it’s about a family.

As an ongoing supporter of Ilbijerri Theatre Optical Audio was chosen to provide audio production. Utilising our diverse hire inventory and sensitive operation ensured this moving piece of theatre was amplified with the required integrity.
