New Equipment

Optical Audio Productions inventory continues to expand with recent equipment purchases.

Digico SD8 Digital Console

The SD8 provides, as standard, a 16 x 12 output matrix, its 12 busses being additional to the console’s 24 stereo, solo and master busses. 60 mono or stereo channels – the equivalent of 120 channels of full DSP processing - and the combined power of the SD8’s technologies means that the number and quality of effects, dynamics or other functions is available to all channels simultaneously, no matter how the console is set up. 


The SD8 supplies engineers with a wealth of features, some of which, such as snapshots and the ability to record directly from the remote mic pre amps will be familiar to D Series users. The high resolution, 20-LED bargraph meters, right beside each channel fader are a new feature.


But familiar or not, one thing that is certain is that the only feature the SD8 lacks is a big price tag. In fact, it comes in at a considerably lower cost than anything else in the DiGiCo range - or any comparative console for that matter - but still provides much, much more than its nearest rival.



Nexo PS15 R2 Speakers

Now NEXO is raising the bar. The new PS R2 Series builds upon the groundbreaking performance of its predecessor with even more power, greater versatility and better value in both installed sound and touring applications.

The PS15-R2 uses a unique cabinet design and rotatable constant directivity asymmetrical dispersion horn to provide both PA and stage monitor performance. The PS15-R2 is extremely light and compact. NEXO's unique Active Full-range Processing enables a 2-way passive 8Ω design to deliver bi-amped performance using just one amplifier channel for less money, space and complexity. For maximum power handling, the PS15-R2 can be also operated in active bi-amped mode.

Like all NEXO products, the PS15-R2 Loudspeaker is designed to work with advanced electronic processors, guaranteeing consistent performance and reliability of the highest standard.

 

Camco D Power 4


Following on from the introduction of the CAMCO Q-Power series of 4 channel amplifiers, the New D-Power series develops the range further with the introduction of three 2 channel models. The D-Power D2 1000 W per channel, the D3 1500 W per channel and the D4 2000 W per channel. All three models have once again been designed to provide that, Powerful Pure Sonic Performance which is now so synonymous with the CAMCO brand name 

All three models utilise a Hybrid Class H amplifier engine, offering smooth and responsive handling throughout the power range. All models benefit from the latest advances in CAMCO’s SMPS technology, the resulting light weight units are at home in all professional applications. Use in combination with the Q-Power series or on their own, the D-Power series delivers pure and reliable power for applications where cost and ease of use are paramount without lose of integrity.
